Controls</font></strong></p>
<p align="left"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">How
exactly do you play <b><font color="#009933">Jack the Uni-Psychle</font></b>?
Well, it is actually very simple. The first thing you need to do is calibrate the controls.
This can be done via the options menu by clicking on the word calibrate. If you start a new game
without calibrating it will automatically bring you to the calibrate screen. You will configure keys
on your device for the following controls.</p>
<p align="left"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><i><b><font color="#666666">
<center>In Game Controls</center></font></b></i><br>
<b>Move left</b> - Used to move Jack left in game.<br>
<b>Move right</b> - Used to move Jack right in game.<br>
<b>Jump</b> - Used to make Jack Jump.<br>
<b>Psychic Attack</b> - Used to fire Jack's Psychic Attack.<br>
<b>Pause/UnPause Game</b> - Used to Pause/UnPause the game.<br>
<b>Menu Key</b> - Used to bring up the in game Menu screen.<br>
<b>Menu Up</b> - Not used in game.<br>
<b>Menu Down</b> - Not used in game.<br>
</font></p>
<p align="left"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Now
that you know the controls, the game play is quite simple as well.
You navigate Jack around by using the left and right buttons and
you jump from place to place to avoid falling into holes. There
are 2 main types of non boss enemies in the game. The walking
enemy and the jumping/hovering enemy. You defeat the walking enemy
by jumping on its head and you defeat the jumping/hovering enemy
by blasting it with your Psychic Attack. The five end-boss machines
are unique and it will be up to you to figure out which attack
is required to defeat them.</font></p>
<p align="left"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">There is an Optional Control set in game that
can be done via the Stylus. <b>NOTE:</b> <i>ipaq 36xx users and possibly older users must use the stylus controls at
least for moving left and right as the 36xx ipaqs have a hardware flaw that two buttons can't be pressed down at the same time.</i>
If you notice in game there is a small graphic that looks like two of the Psychic Attack Brainwave graphics put together.
You use your stylus on this graphic to control Jack. Clicking on the Left brainwave of the graphic will make Jack go left. Clicking on the
Right brainwave of the graphic will make Jack go right. Clicking on the dot in the center will make Jack do a Psychic Attack. Clicking high
up on the graphic will make Jack Jump. (<i>You can click high and to the right to make jack do a moving jump to the right, same for left direction.</i>)
You can also use the keys in combination with the stylus if you prefer.
</font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Now all of
the menus of the game can be controlled via the stylus
or the keys on the front cover (<i>With the exception of the Secret
Code, which requires the keys, and the Controls Calibrate, which requires the stylus</i>).</font></p>

FAQ</b>. <br>
<b>Q.</b> I have uninstalled the game but it did not delete everything. What should I do?<br>
<b>A.</b> If you noticed in the Remove Programs Dialog when you uninstalled it probably said it could not
remove the Discord Studios\Jack folder. The reason is that Jack creates 3 files during the game for saved game info,
etc that the installer knows nothing about, so it can't delete them. You can delete the folder manually from File Explorer.
If you installed in Main Memory then it will be located in \Program Files, otherwise it will be on your CF card, etc<br>
<br>
<b>Q.</b> I pressed the hibernation button while the game was running. When I return to the game there are problems. Is this a bug?<br>
<b>A.</b> No. Being able to put your PocketPC to sleep during the game does not work on all machines. Since windows does not
notify applications when you press the button, there is no way to detect this in Jack. So if it doesn't work correctly on your
device then don't do it.<br>
<br>
<b>Q.</b> I just installed the game and I can't find the shortcut to it. Where is it?<br>
<b>A.</b> It will be in the Games folder in Programs under your Start Menu.<br>
<br>
<b>Q.</b> I just installed the game and the icon is all messed up and/or my sound is crackling. What is the problem?<br>
<b>A.</b> This seems to be an issue with windows on your device. Do a soft reset and it should fix the problem.<br>
<br>
<b>Q.</b> The key controls do not work correctly. I cannot jump and move at the same time. I have a ipaq 36xx or older. What is the problem?<br>
<b>A.</b> There is a problem with the earlier ipaqs that they could not have two hardware keys pressed at once. Please refer to Optional Stylus controls above..<br>
<br>
<b>Q.</b> I have Actve Sync enabled and I get serious lag in Jack the Uni-Psychle. Why is that?<br>
<b>A.</b> Jack the Uni-Psychle is a very resource intensive game. It uses lots of CPU power to run when it is not minimized. So when active sync kicks in it steals
some of that CPU power that jack needs, thus creating lag. This lag can happen in spikes in the game if your PPC is hooked to your computer and if you active sync
actually syncs while jack is running then it will minimize jack and produce lots of lag in both jack and windows. Simple wait about 10 seconds before maximizing
Jack again. (<i>or you can play around with windows menus until you notice the lag is gone.</i>)<br>
