About This Update 
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update fixes a problem that causes a Windows error message to appear 
when PC Connect is used to synchronized CASSIOPEIA BE-300 data, and 
the CASSIOPEIA data includes recurring schedule data.

Note

Text you input into the "Location" box of the Microsoft Outlook "Appointment" 
tab is normally saved as log data, eliminating the need to have to input the 
same text each time. With Outlook 97 and 98, synchronizing data with 
PC Connect can cause the "Location" box log data to be deleted.

Installing This Update 
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note that this update includes software both for your PC and your CASSIOPEIA. 
Perform the following steps to install the update on your PC and your 
CASSIOPEIA.
You must uninstall the old version of PC Connect from your computer before 
installing this update.

Important
Updating with this program clears all your current PC Connect settings 
(Data Synchronization, Folder Synchronization). 
If you need any of your current settings, make a note of them before updating.
Restart your PC after installing this update.
Perform all of the following installation steps on your PC. 


<> To install this update on your PC :

1. Quit all applications currently running on your PC. 

2. Uninstall the old version of PC Connect from your computer. 

3. Double-click setup.exe. This starts the installer program.

4. After installation is complete, restart your PC.
   Note:
   Do not connect the CASSIOPEIA by cradle or cable before restarting 
   your PC.

<> Connecting to Your CASSIOPEIA and Installing the System:

Perform the steps below if you have PC Connect Version 1.00.00 (US) 
installed. If you already have PC Connect Version 1.00.03 (US) installed, 
the following steps are not required. 

1. After installing PC Connect, use a cradle or cable to connect your PC and 
   CASSIOPEIA. 

2. After a short while, a message like the one shown below will appear on 
   your PC screen.

   | CASSIOPEIA before connecting your PC Connect with                |
   | CASSIOPEIA at the first time.                                    |

   | Your CASSIOPEIA will be reset automatically after installing the |
   | Communication program. Please exit all programs running on       |
   |  your CASSIOPEIA  before running this setup program.             |

   Tap [OK] to proceed with the installation. 

   This automatically modifies the application on your CASSIOPEIA. After 
   that, your CASSIOPEIA resets and restarts automatically. 

   This completes the installation. 
   Installing this update may clear PC Connect Settings (Data Synchronization 
   Settings.../Folder Synchronization Settings...). If this happens, 
   reconfigure these settings are required.
