PeekPocket - the hassle-free WiFi scanner
-----------------------------------------
Version 1.5
-----------

Intro
-----

PeekPocket is a free WiFi scanner application for Windows Mobile (PocketPC) devices.
It detects and lists nearby WiFi access points. It can be useful when you're setting up
a WiFi network, or when you're on the go and want to see if there are nearby Access Points.

Disclaimer
----------

I made every effort to make this program useful and stable. Nevertheless
there is no guarantee that it will work fine on your hardware. Strictly speaking,
I can only guarantee that it will occupy some disk space. :-)
So, use it at your own risk.
Please be aware that piggybacking (using someone's internet when in range) might be against the law in your country.

Usage
-----

Just unzip & run on your PDA. No installation, no hassle.
Don't forget to turn your WLAN on before you try.
Tap AP names to access graph & large mode. Use options to select filters/language etc.
Upon exit, you will find a text file called PeekPocket.txt. It's a tabbed text document with
saved AP infos. Simply open with Word Mobile, select all, then copy to Excel and you have a nice scrollable formatted list.

License
-------

PeekPocket is, in its binary form, free for both personal and commercial use.

Problems?
---------

If you experience problems, I recommend to backup your data, perform a soft or even hard reset and retry.
You can also try another WiFi scanner to see if it works any better?
There are a lot of interesting small things we've experienced - just some examples:

-if your network adapter is "TNETWLN1", you won't see signals stronger than 50 dB, even if your PDA is right next to the AP.
-sometimes you have to soft-reset the device to make the WiFi work, turning on does not work (experienced with Acer)
-some AP security types are not detected (probably by the card driver), an example is WPA2 with EAP-TTLS.
